iPhone 5 release expected in fall, says Verizon CEO

We have earlier reported that iPhone 5 is expected to be released in fall this year, today Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam while making comments on Verizon’s second quarter earnings conference call. He said that iPhone 5 was expected to be released in summer but now they are expecting the iPhone 5 release this fall. Here is what he said-

We are probably what I would view as maybe a quarter behind what we had talked about in January , primarily because we expected an iPhone 5 refresh sometime this summer . We don’t know when the next one is going to come out. You will have to ask Apple that. But we expect that probably sometime in the fall, and I think you will see a significant jump there when we get to that point. On the LTE side, I can’t tell you how pleased I am at how the device manufacturers have stepped up with all kinds of devices. We are beginning to see even in the machine-to-machine space LTE modules, because the latency is so much better than we have in a 3G environment. Our fourth-quarter lineup is going to be very robust. You have seen — you have gotten a little bit of a peek at that through devices like the Samsung [Charge]. So the screen density is so significantly better than what we have seen in the past. So I think we are going to have probably in my entire career the best fourth-quarter lineup of devices I have seen, which will shift that mix that you talked about.

With lot of information pointing to the iPhone 5 fall release, we could now confidently say that you could expect the next generation iPhone within next 2 months.

iPhone 5 due “end of summer”, may complement iPhone 4 and 3GS

According to the reports by BGR, the next version of iPhone currently called as iPhone 5 is expected to be released during ‘”end of summer” which means we could get iPhone 5 during later august. BGR further adds that they aren’t sure whether iPhone 5 would have the brand new design and the curved glass screen or would be like iPhone 4 with dual-core A5 chipset. It would be interesting to see whether iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 is released this fall.

The site further states that Apple would begin selling low cost prepaid iPhone along with iPhone 5. It means that during iPhone 5 launch the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS would be available in  market for lower price. The unlocked iPhone 3GS would be available only for $350.

As August is coming the iPhone rumors are increasing and we would try to upgrade the site with all the rumors..

Samsung’s lawyers demand to see the iPhone 5 and iPad 3

In a series of commotions the Samsung has filed a motion on Friday against Apple to see the final version of much awaited iPhone 5 or which may be called as iPhone 4S and also the upcoming iPad 3.

The motion was filed by Samsung because they are preparing Droid Charge and Galaxy Tab 10.1 which would be approximately released at the same time when iPhone 5 and the iPad 3 would be released. If the motion is passed the Samsung lawyers would be able to see the physical iPhone 5 and iPad 3 and just not the prototypes.

Apple has already filed a motion earlier and was allowed to see the Samsung products earlier this week.

This would allow the companies to check any similarities between the products and file a legal action in future, though Samsung has already announced the lineup while Apple has still to announce..

iPhone 5 rumored to have separate rear camera and flash

Recently one of the apple related blog has unearthed that the next version of iPhone presently called as iPhone 5 would have a separate rear camera and flash Lens. According to the information available the camera would be on the left side and the flash would be on the right. The separation of lens and the flash would definitely increase the quality of the picture and would reduce the “red eye” effect. This move would definitely require Apple to introduce a new camera component as in the current iPhone 4 the camera and the flash is a single component.

We have also heard that Apple would be increasing the size of screen from 3.5 inches to 4 inch which we would be reporting later in the complete post.
